AR Bookfinder – If your child participates in the Renaissance Learning and test taking, you can use this site to look up the level of books, what the points available for each book are and to take the tests.

Ben’s Guide to U.S. Government – This site is a service of the Government Publishing Office (GPO) designed to inform students, parents, and educators about the Federal Government.

Cartoon Network – Cartoon Network is home to your favorite cartoons, full episodes, video clips and free games. Play with your favorite Cartoon Network characters!

CoolMath.com -This site offers “math for ages 13-100” — explanations that are easy to grasp on topics like algebra, pre-calculus and more.

CoolMath4Kids – For users 12 and under, this site is an amusement park of math, games, and more, designed to teach math and make it FUN.

CoolMathGames – A brain-training site, for everyone, where logic & thinking meet fun & games. These games have no violence, no empty action, just a lot of challenges that will make you forget you’re getting a mental workout!

Diary of a Whimpy Kid – The official website for Diary of a Whimpy Kid.

DLTK’s Crafts for Kids – Run by a mom, this site features a variety of printable children’s crafts, coloring pages, worksheets and activities (including projects for holidays, educational themes, and some of our children’s favorite cartoon characters).

FunBrain – Created for kids in grades Pre-K through 8, Funbrain.com has been the leader in free educational games for kids since 1997. Funbrain offers hundreds of games, books, comics, and videos that develop skills in math, reading, problem-solving and literacy.

Funology – the Science of Having Fun! – A website for parents and teachers who are looking for fun activities they can do with their kids away from the computer and television screens. Activities include crafts, recipes, science, magic, games, jokes, and trivia.

Jigzone – Assemble a jigsaw puzzle choosing from over 200 puzzles of varying difficulty and a featured puzzle of the day.

Merriam-Webster’s Word Central – Merriam-Webster’s word game page includes Jumble Kids, a word unscrambler game, Robo-Bee, a game using synonyms, antonyms, spelling, and usage, and BIGbot, a game using spelling.

Ology – A science website for kids from the American Museum of Natural History. Includes games, stories, hands-on activities, and videos.

RIF Reading Planet – This site is provided by Reading Is Fundamental (RIF), the nation’s oldest and largest nonprofit children’s literacy organization.

Science Bob – Ran by “Science Bob,” a science teacher, author, maker, and presenter, this site includes science experiments, science fair ideas, a science Q&A, and research help.

Scholastic’s “The Magic School Bus” – This site includes experiments and pintables based off of the award-winning book.

TumbleBooks of the Day  – This site is a joint project between TumbleBookLibrary and the Indiana State Library. The project provides free daily content for families, schools and public libraries in order to promote literacy and a love of reading.

Universal Kids – Universal Kids is programmed for the 2-12 year old audience, with a fresh mix of animated content, unscripted entertainment, and proven international hits.

Fact Monster – This site combines essential reference materials, fun facts and features, and homework help for kids. From the solar system to the world economy to educational games, Fact Monster has the info kids are seeking. The site is COPPA and kidSAFE-certified, so you can rest assured it’s a safe place for kids to explore.

FreeRice – Answer multiple choice questions correctly to accumulate grains of rice. This rice represents money being donated to the World Food Programme (WFP) to support its work in saving and changing lives around the world.

Citation Machine – Use this site to properly give credit to the author of quotes.  This site uses the 4 different citation formats in use today.

INSPIRE – Indiana’s Virtual Library – This site offers magazine and journal articles, websites, pamphlets, images and so much more.  It’s like having a library at your fingertips through the web.  This service is available only to Indiana residents.

Merriam-Webster Dictionary Online – Includes an online dictionary and thesaurus.

Purdue Online Writing Lab – (Purdue OWL) This site offers free resources including Writing and Teaching Writing, Research, Grammar and Mechanics, Style Guides, ESL (English as a Second Language), and Job Search and Professional Writing.

World Fact Book – Provided by the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency), this site provides basic intelligence on the history, people, government, economy, energy, geography, communications, transportation, military, terrorism, and transnational issues for 266 world entities.
